Pakistan New Awards to 69 Brilliant Sri Lankan Students in Kandy

Pakistan New Awards to 69 Brilliant Sri Lankan Students in Kandy is given by pakistan.The Government of Pakistan through its High Commission in Sri Lanka has awarded SL Rs 1.7 Million worth of educational scholarships last evening to 69 bright Sri Lankan students of O/L and A/L under the first Phase of Jinnah Scholarship Programme 2014.

Under the auspices of High Commission of Pakistan, award ceremony of Jinnah Educational Scholarship 2014 was held at Jinnah Hall, Kandy.

Hon. Tikiri Banda Kobbekaduwa, Governor Central Province, graced the award ceremony as chief guest. The event was also attended by a large number of students and their families along with Pakistan High Commission officials, dignitaries and a large section of media.

In his welcome address, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, H. E. Major Gen (R) Qasim Qureshi congratulated the students for their academic achievements, and expressed the hope that they would continue to excel in their academic pursuits.
