Nokia XL New Cell with big screen and slow processing
Nokia XL New Cell with big screen and slow processing new cell phone. With dual core 1 GHz cortex processor along with a RAM of 756 is the specification you can expect from the mid-range priced phone. Certainly you are not going to get a very speedy processing, particularly, if you are doing multitasking. The main concern of the phone is its Operating System. It is built on Android Open Sourceplatform with much modification currently called Nokia X software platform 1.0.1. It has accelerometer sensor and can sense ambient light and proximity sensor.
Applications:
Having no access to Google web store, XL got its own Nokia X Software platform 1.0.1 which is not as tasteful as Kit Kat or iOS but it’s just an initiative and still got an enormous amount of applications to be downloaded. If you still want an android application, simply use third party stores for it. The buyers have to sacrifice for Google-Drive, Google Maps and Play-Music, rather they will get Here-Maps, Here-Drive, and Microsoft’s one-Drive cloud storage as an alternative.
User Interface:
Swipe sideways from the home screen would take you to the “Fast-Lane”. Fast-Lane is an amazing interfacewhich is programmed in such a way that it is adapted to your usage habits. The more the app you use, the more it will start appearing on your home screen. Yet another inclusion in interface is its Fast-Lane-Feed, which allows the user to read notifications from the social media websites makes it more customizable. The icons tiles at home screen are much similar to that of Windows OS. It will overjoy you to keep swinging your fingers to flip your apps until any kind of jittery, after all it has RAM of 768 MB. It has only one button which reminds of iPhone which is pretty cool, unless you are not that much used to of three button phenomenon. The hole for headphones is at the center of the top bar and the microUSB slot centered at the bottom bar. The power and volume control on right side bar of the phone as usual.
Camera:
The Nokia XL has a 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera for selfies as it would be so awkward if they hadn’t encompassed it with front camera because selfie is becoming a super trend nowadays. So thanks to Nokia XL. It has various modes in camera like auto-focus, LED flash, face detection and also, a panoramic view to capture wide angle landscapes and beaches. It has a video camera loaded with 480 p video at 30 fps which is not up to the mark as mostly smartphone are equipped with 1080 p HD video mode. So it was expected in this range.
Connectivity:
Compatible with 2G and 3G internet and also have GPRS. The W-LAN supported with Wi-Fi hotspot and GSM. A Bluetooth v.3.0 and a microUSB of 2.0. The mobile can operate two network connections at the same time means it is Dual-Sim.
Other Features:
Several features included personal information management feature, text viewer, music player, radio, Skype video calling with 3G, environment friendly material, a battery of 2000 mAH with 13 hours talk time, games, emails, messages and many more.
Storage:
It can store 4 GB data as internal memory with up to 32 GB maximum memory card capacity.
Verdict:
It will certainly mark an impact on emerging markets. It’s absolutely perfect for the average users but surely will struggle in developed areas where people prefer Apple’s iPhone or Samsung’s top notch smartphones. With their own operating system, it will now be difficult to evaluate too early about their version of OS that how it going to be worked, its speed, and what kind of apps they are offering. If they manage to create an impact they surely will haunt the big giants of market. In this price, the low processing was expected but the big screen certainly give edge to it.
