Act 2 of the first day was opened by none other than the incredible Zahid Khan, the genius behind Kuki Concepts. The designer known for versatility, vigor and spark and every time he amazed the audience with his enthralling designing.Kuki Concepts has held 50 showings from Pakistan to New York and London. Amongst the most prominent have been shows for President Bush and Cherie Blair during their respective visits and as part of CNN’s 25th Anniversary celebrations at the Lahore Fort.
Zahid Khan PBCW 2014 collection titled Bidai was based on gotas, vintage Banarsi, karchobs, traditional ghararas, lehngas, cholis and rani coats. Basic focus was on cuts and traditional handworker designs. The showstopper for his enchanting collection is the drop dead gorgeous and ever green Atika Odho. Famous models like Sunita Marshal, Ayan,Neha Ahmed, Cybil, Fouzia Iman, Nadia Hussain, Hira Tareen andmany more have added much glamour on the ramp walk.
All groom dresses are highly festooned with stunning zari and dabbka work. Moreover, Zahid Khan’s Badai collection also includes beautiful long shirts and kameez along with stylish frocks. Men sherwanis and kurtas were designed with intricate embroideries in bright colors. The lines were simple and linear, creating a range of kurtas, pajamas, cholis, short jackets, gowns, lehngas, and of course, sherwanis. Dominant colours were beige, meroon, blue, black, ivory and different metal shades
To entertain the audience an exceptional yet ravishing dance performance made by the glamorous Mahwish Hayat. The dance was choreographed by Nigah; the performance received great applause and appreciation from the attendees.Hum TV Network Ltd. has successfully managed PBCW 2014, whereas the event was choreographed by none other than the extraordinaire HSY. The make-up and styling was done by Saba Ansari and her team at Sabs.
