Punjab Teachers Union is now planning for Polio duty in Punjab to make punjab healthy.Teacher Union has demanded the Punjab government not to assign anti-polio vaccination duty to teachers.In a press release issued on Monday, PTU leaders including its president Hafiz Ghulam Mohyeddin and others criticised the government and said the teachers were given the task of launching an enrolment drive as part of the Universal Primary Education (UPE), but on the other hand they were being engaged in non-academic duties.
They alleged education was not the government’s priority as its actions were against its policies.
